The Bassili’s Best brand was established by the Bassili’s family over 35 years ago in Edmonton, Alberta. Passionate about food and family, the Bassili’s family greatly valued time shared over a meal. A constant favourite among all family members was lasagna, which was often referred to by the family as the “best” meal of the week. As the kids became busier with after-school activities, the Bassili’s family realized that making lasagna from scratch was no longer conducive to their busy lifestyle.  It was during these years they realized the need for wholesome, nutritious and high quality frozen meals. After making and freezing home-made lasagna on various occasions, the family realized the potential to sell these convenient family favourites to the general public. Shortly thereafter the Bassili’s family invested in a manufacturing facility to produce and sell their meals and the rest is history!
